Desde el año 2020, Fundación Telefónica y PHotoESPAÑA organizan un programa de encuentros en torno al valor de la imagen y el poder de la fotografía como motor de cambio. Grandes expertos de esta disciplina han abordado, desde la práctica curatorial y la investigación, el desarrollo social de la imagen desde diversos enfoques.
Este año, para celebrar su edición número 25+1, el Festival invitó a escribir un texto sobre el estado actual y los retos futuros de la fotografía a ocho personalidades relevantes del sector, entre autores, gestores y comisarios.
Edward Burtynsky compartirá en Espacio Fundación Telefónica sus reflexiones en torno a la imagen, no sólo como herramienta artística, sino también como una poderosa herramienta de transformación social.
The Value of the Image
Since 2020, Fundación Telefónica and PHotoESPAÑA have been organising a programme of meetings on the value of the image and the power of photography as a driver of change. Leading experts in this discipline have addressed, from curatorial practice and research, the social development of the image from different approaches.
This year, to celebrate its 25+1 edition, the Festival invited eight leading figures in the sector – authors, managers and curators – to write a text on the current state and future challenges of photography. Edward Burtynsky will share their reflections on the image at Espacio Fundación Telefónica, not only as an artistic tool, but also as a powerful tool for social transformation.
