Revolving around the exhibition We Are Water, which until June 2023 highlights importance of water for life, Fundación Canal and PHotoESPAÑA are launching a new online call for entries, which this time round aims to identify and depict different manifestations of water in cities. Subject matters may include infrastructures such as aqueducts and bridges; ornamental use in fountains and gardens; or sustainable consumption, such as water reused to irrigate parks or wash down the streets. To take part in the competition, images must be posted on Instagram with the hashtag #AguaUrbana.
From all the images submitted, an independent jury will select a winning photograph, for which the photographer will receive a prize of 1,000 euros whilst two other finalist images will receive a runner-up prize of 500 euros each.
The photographer’s originality and imagination in providing, in a creative manner, unique perspectives on the relationship between the urban environment and water will be assessed.
